MGB/MGBGT V8 CONVERSIONS

Pictured below are some examples of MGB V8 conversions performed in our shop.
All body work and paint was done by Don Marcott, of Wayland, MI.

This first one belongs to Don Allen
Buick portholes? They look like they were born there.
Nerf bars, through-the-body exhaust, recessed plates, fender flares - a real british Hot Rod.Fat tires, chrome caps, wicked stance, the ricers will avoid this one.
Clean enough to eat out of. Buick aluminum V8.
The interior was left mostly stock.Hot Rodders tend to like shiny stuff. Even the undercarriage is shiny!

This one belongs to Don Coleman

Not Buick portholes, but they are functional.
Huge wheels, with fender flares.Rover 4.6L engine.
Through-the-body exhaust, recessed plate, and custom made roll bars.A novel touch, crafted by Don Marcott. It looks as if it came from the factory this way.
Metal dash from an earlier year, highly modified, including A/C vents. Console is entirely hand made, of steel, here at Fast Cars.Fiero seats, and custom upholstery.
Wiring kit from Advance Auto-Wire.Mirrors are from Harley-Davidson motorcyles

One word describes this car - CLEAN!
Except for the hood louvers and the wheels, no one would know this is not stock - a true "sleeper!"
Powered by a 215ci aluminum Buick V8.

Terry Schulte's car

This one was a real crowd pleaser at the British V8 2007 meet in Ohio.
SHINY!  Shiny wheels, shiny paint, shiny chrome - a Hot Rodders delight!
A Ford 302 V8 with air conditioning, and a clean engine bay.
Miata seats, alligator upholstery, custom dash, custom interior.

This one is Eric Kent's car
Probably the best thing you can do to improve the looks of a rubber-bumpered B is to paint the bumpers body color and add some nice wheels.
Even though this one is definitely not stock appearing, there is no clue to the power that lurks under the hood - another sleeper that'll wake up the ricers!

Dan Masters' car
This car is now on the road, with a little over 1000 miles under the wheels. It is lightening quick, and sticks to the road like glue. The color is actually a dark green, but it sometimes shows up as a bit blue in the photos. For a complete "under-construction" progress report on this car, with a lot of pictures, see www.advanceautowire.com/mgbgtv8
